There has been another cottage break-in over the past two weeks. Someone entered a cottage near Twin Sister Lakes Road and stole a 3000 model Honda Generator. They then broke the door on the shed and stole a wheel barrow to obviously carry the generator to the road where the locked gate was locked.

The thieves also took a workmate Work bench and some fishing rods, reels and tackle.

The wheelbarrow was left at the road and over a few days someone else came along and took the wheelbarrow. The wheelbarrow was distinguishable in that it is black, has a mahogany handle on one side and a white handle on the other.

The break-in was reported to the OPP at Central Hastings. They have investigated the matter.

Check out what's new!
On Sunday afternoon July 22, 2007 Rick Orchard died while being transported from the cottage on East Twin Sister Lake, to Campbellford, via ambulance. The hope was that he would be transported by helicopter  to hospital, for emergency surgery, but unfortunately, he was very, very ill and passed away from a ruptured aortic aneurysm.

It is a terrible shock for everyone, especially for his wife Dana and children Stewart (16) and Grace (13) who were so looking forward to settling into their new digs after buying the DeBoer cottage on East Twin Sister Lake. Rick was such an wonderfully exuberant fellow and warm and friendly to all who said hello. Rick, we will miss you!

Rick was an editor with the Toronto Star.
